Community Guidelines
Last updated October 20, 2026.
AGE is a professional community of educators and researchers from many countries and traditions. These guidelines keep it useful and respectful for everyone.
Be professional and kind
- Treat other members with respect, including when you disagree.
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, or discrimination.
- Assume good faith and keep messages about academic work.
Be accurate
- Describe your role, affiliation, and credentials truthfully.
- Do not impersonate another person or organization.
Use the directory responsibly
- Contact members about real academic topics such as research, teaching, and conferences.
- No bulk, promotional, or sales messages, and no scraping or exporting of the directory.
- Respect a member's silence. If someone does not reply, do not keep pressing.
Protect privacy
- Do not share another member's details outside AGE without their permission.
- Use only your own photo, or one you have permission to use.
Volunteer with care
- Choose roles you can finish. If your time changes, withdraw from the role in My account.
- Keep confidential material, such as unpublished papers and reviews, confidential.
