These terms apply to your use of the Association of Global Educators, LLC ("AGE") website, free membership, member directory, and volunteer program. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You must be an adult to hold an account.
- Membership is free. If AGE introduces paid features later, they will be offered separately and clearly priced.
Your profile and content
You own what you post. You give AGE permission to host and display it on the site as you have chosen, for example in the member directory. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share, and do not upload photos of other people without their permission.
Member directory
The directory exists so scholars can find and contact one another about academic work. You may not scrape it, copy it in bulk, use it for mass or commercial solicitation, sell or share its contents, or send unwanted messages.
Volunteering
Volunteer roles are unpaid unless AGE agrees otherwise in writing. A volunteer role is not employment, and AGE may decline, change, or end any role. Volunteering is open to members who have confirmed their email.
Conference software
AGE offers its conference paper management system free to conference organizers. AGE reviews each request and may decline or end access, for example for misuse. Organizers are responsible for their own conference, its fees, and its participants. The system has its own terms on its own site.
Acceptable use
Do not break the law, harass others, impersonate anyone, upload harmful code, try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or disrupt the site. We may suspend or remove accounts and content that break these terms.
Our content
The AGE name, logo, and site content belong to AGE or its licensors. You may not use them without permission, except to link to the site or refer to your own membership.
Third-party links
Profiles and pages may link to other sites. AGE does not control them and is not responsible for them.
Disclaimers
The site and services are provided "as is" and "as available". AGE does not promise uninterrupted or error-free service and does not verify the claims members make on their profiles.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, AGE and its officers, volunteers, and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your membership
You can delete your account at any time from My account. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.
Changes, governing law, and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where AGE is organized. Questions? Use the contact form.
